Youv'e said it all, they will no doubt flip-flop when he is winning. That will be truly entertaining to watch. I am still trying to work out why Hamilton gets such negative press? Maybe its 'cos we are......... not used to the concept of confident men of colour.

[...] Amid all the fan fair of McLaren, Red Bull qualifying potential, Rosberg continued to punch above the relatively lightweight of his Mercedes. The real weight appears to be in the cockpit of their Number 4 car. Who’d have bet on that at the start of the season? Oh wait, I did… [...]

I would have respected Jenson much more if he had stepped up and openly confessed that the tyre change wasn't a tactical stroke of genius on his part but a desperate attempt to stay up front with the big boys. Button is riding the crest of a big wave that he will struggle to stay on, the term 'winging it' is a gross understatement. HOWEVER, you do not win a world championship without being a competent driver, so it will be interesting to see how far this new found rivalry goes.....

"His team mate Rosberg kept a low profile during the pre-season media carnival, but let’s face it, did he have any choice?"

I found Rosberg was boastful about the fact that he was going to win the season opener during winter testing. Whether he really thought that or was saying that at face value, only the man himself can truly answer.

Looking at the environment as it stood then, one could argue that he arrived a the championship constructors outfit with the belief that Brawn/Merc were going to start in a similar position to that of 2009; bigger budget, better technological development would surmount to a faster car leaving the opposition with their exhaust pipes, quite literally, in their hands. During the race, he was constantly under pressure from Hamilton, & [Rosberg] did a relatively good job in keeping the faster McLaren from diving past, but when we look at the race conditions, was Rosbergs effort in the first half of the GP really that much of an achievement?

I firmly believe, that by the end of the season, Schumacher will have ruffled Rosbergs feathers, if he hasn't done so already. You might argue that his 6th place achievement is a little disappointing, but for a man in his 40's racing again after 3 years is no an achievement to be sniffed at.

As this is the first race, Brawn & Shumacer haven't consistently worked together in a relatively long time. If both manage to work effectively together, have aero updates that work in their favour, we could well see strong prospect of their F1 romance witnessed many moons ago coming to the fore throughout 2010.

Needless to say, the psychological warfare between these two [Rosberg & Schumacher] has yet to blossom, let's not even mention what’s going to be happening other drivers camps, but mark it on the wall it will be all the more apparent in the next 3 or 4 races as pressure to deliver begins to increase. Roll on Australia!

Bahrain seemed to be more of a processional test rather than a race, in fact the action seemed to be firmly established at the back of the pack with newcomers, Lotus & Virgin. One wonders why more emphasis wasn't placed on the Glock & Trulli battle? Afterall, if not to make up the grid, then at least to priovide added entertainment, Lotus & Virgin represent the 'new look' of F1.

Bahrain 2010 seemed an anti climax after what seemed like a long wait for the 2010 challegers to lay some rubber down on the dispropotionally warmer asphalts af the middle east. We expected Ferrari, Mclaren, Redbull & Mercedes to be in the running once the last light went out, but then again we also expected a relativley close fight in the season opener...suffice to say, we got what we expected albeit from the back end.

Next stop: Melbourne Park. My guess is a faster track & lower downforce will prove to be a more interactive affair for both drivers & viewers the world over. If not, might we start to see a change of tatics from the FIA??? 10D 13Hrs 31ms to go.
